Inkora is a macOS screen annotation app that lets you draw, highlight, add shapes, and place text directly over any application. Activate it instantly, pick a tool from a compact palette, and annotate in real time for presentations, screen recordings, demos, and live teaching.
Inkora creates a high-priority overlay canvas above your screen so you can annotate over any app without switching contexts. It includes pen/marker drawing, semi-transparent highlighting, an eraser, shape tools (arrow/rectangle/circle), and text annotations. Inkora also supports pressure-sensitive tools (for natural stroke variation) and a global stroke width control so your line thickness stays consistent across tools. For extended workspaces, Inkora can enable an Infinite Canvas mode so you can scroll beyond the visible screen area while continuing to draw.
Inkora uses macOS Accessibility permission to monitor mouse input system-wide so it can activate and draw over other apps. Inkora does not need access to your files for core annotation features. You stay in control of permissions and can disable them anytime in macOS Settings.
Launch Inkora, activate annotation mode, and start drawing over any app.
Launch Inkora from the menu bar.
Activate annotation mode by selecting "Show Panel" from the menu bar or by using the global shortcut that shows/hides the panel; then choose a tool and select a color.
Draw, highlight, add shapes, or place text anywhere on screen.
Undo/clear as needed, then exit when done.
