Screen Recording permission: ColorDetective requests macOS Screen Recording permission solely to read on-screen pixels for the magnifier and color sampling. No video is stored or transmitted.
ColorDetective does not require account registration and does not collect or transmit personal data as part of its core color picking and palette features.
ColorDetective stores palette names, color values, workspaces, and preferences locally on your device. This data remains on your device.
ColorDetective does not use third-party analytics or tracking services for core functionality.
You control ColorDetective’s permissions. You can review or disable Screen Recording permission at any time in macOS Settings.
